Slip and falls
If you are on someone else’s property and have been injured as a result of a dangerous condition or negligent conduct on the property by the land owner, occupier or business proprietor or a municipality, they may be liable for your injuries.
A slip and fall relates to an injury which occurs when someone falls as a result of a dangerous or hazardous condition on someone else’s property. These falls might have occurred as a result of ice, water, or snow, as well as changes in a stairwell, sidewalk or flooring, or as a result of poor lighting, a hidden hazard, such as a gap.
It is important to note that unlike some other injury claims, there are strict timelines for you to provide notice of your claim and commence your action, especially if your action is against a municipality.
